Controlling a robot through thought was no longer a fantasy. A group of scientists from the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne from Switzerland has created a robot with sophisticated technology that can be controlled using the human mind.
Sophisticated robot is controlled using an electrode cap through brain waves. The system was developed by Jose Millan, a professor from the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne. He has specialized in the field of non-invasive interfaces between machines and human brains.
The robot control system for the first time demonstrated by people who have paralysis. Robot control system is tested by means used to move the wheelchair in a hospital.Unfortunately, this technology has limited the brain gets scrambled signal if too many people who gathered around the examiner. But, Jose Millan said that the robot control system is not only used to move the wheelchair, but can also be used to help restore the patient's sense of taste.
